Our fine City of Toluca and rural area have been blessed with dedicated men and women who have served as fireman, emergency technicians and policeman to provide the manpower to protect our homes, churches, business buildings, schools and our lives.

Toluca-Rutland Fire Department

Toluca-Rutland Fire Dept. is a volunteer department that covers the town of Toluca (pop. 1400), Rutland (pop. 400) and the surrounding rural area (roughly 51 square miles.) The fire department is comprised of 29 active members. The Toluca station houses 2 engines, 1 tender, 1 rescue truck and 1 brush truck. Toluca also houses 1 Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulance which is staffed by 12 volunteer EMT’s. The Rutland station houses 1 engine, 1 tender and 1 brush truck.

Eastern Marshall County Emergency Services (EMS)

The Eastern Marshall County Ambulance Service was found in 2014. The organization works diligently to provide advanced medical care and safety education to the citizens of Toluca, Wenona and surrounding areas.

Police Department

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office provide police services to the City of Toluca. The Marshall County Sheriff’s office is comprised of 12 Deputies, (1) K9 Unit and (2) Investigators.

The Mission of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office is to enhance Marshall County and quality of life through service to and protection of all who visit, live and work within the County. The office fulfills its mission through the honor, integrity and teamwork office members demonstrates as they enforce the law with dignity, respect and sense of self worth, thereby reducing the incidence and fear of crime.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office also offers community outreach programs offering education in: Teen Driver Awareness, Sexual Assault Awareness, Active Shooter Response, Modern Scam Awareness, and K9 Demonstration.
